Element positioning
Fine-tune your chart's appearance using the design section's sliders to precisely position titles, legends, series names, and axis labels. Each element can be quickly reset to its default position using the reset buttons.

Overall chart dimensions
Use the width and height sliders to adjust chart size. These setting are mirrored in PNG, JPG and WebP image exports. When exported for the web, responsive code is used to accomodate different screen sizes.

Grid
Customize your chart's background grid with toggleable horizontal and vertical lines. Choose between solid or dashed styles to best complement your data presentation.

Legend position
Position your legend either at the bottom or right side of the chart for optimal layout. Adjust the legend's exact position to achieve perfect alignment with your data. When on the right side, a Series name line height slider will appear to give you more control.

Decimal adjustments
Toggle decimal places used on the Y-axis from 0 to 2 (X-axis when a horizontal layout is selected). Decimal places used in data label values can be toggled from 0 to 2.

X and Y-axis manual range adjustments
While the y-axis range automatically adjusts to your data's values, you can manually set custom minimum and maximum values to highlight specific ranges or maintain consistency across multiple charts. Axis decimal places can be adjusted and the number of data point ticks shown can be increased or decreased (data ticks are approximates depending on the data you are using). All controls work in horizontal and vertical layouts.

Data label intervals
For datasets with numerous entries, use the Intervals dropdown to control Data label value density. This works with line and area charts. Skip between 1 to 2000 data labels to prevent overcrowding while maintaining readability (default 0 means display everything). The Hide first/last checkbox, hides the first and last data label. Interval adjustments work in horizontal and vertical layouts.

Colours
Extend the built-in colour palette with up to 10 custom colours, which appear at the top of all colour selection dropdowns. Switch between Hex, RGB, and HSL formats using the colour picker arrows. Custom colours can be renamed or removed using the edit function.

Fonts
Select from 8 carefully chosen Google variable fonts, all open-source for personal and commercial use. To download these fonts locally, visit fonts.google.com and search by font name.

Bar charts
The Bar gap slider adjusts the width of individual bars. When using multiple series, the Bar category gap slider adjusts the space between bar groups. The Bar data label height slider adjusts the vertical position of data labels added to bar and staked charts.

Area charts
The Area opacity slider controls the intensity of the colours used in area charts. The default value is 60%. The Area data label height slider adjusts the vertical position of data labels added to area charts.

Line charts
You can control the thickness of dashed and solid lines with the Line thickness slider (2px is the default with a maximum of 10px). The Line data label height slider adjusts the vertical position of data labels added to line charts.

Donut charts
As the name suggests, the Donut hole size slider adjusts the size of the hole in this chart type.

Microsoft Excel and CSV files
Excel file compatability includes XLSX and legacy XLS file formats. Google Sheets is supported via XLSX and CSV. During import, first select your desired chart layout and then specify which column/row serves as your x-axis (typically data labels like "Year" appear on the x-axis with vertical layouts). You can then select single or multiple data series that can be displayed using separate display types. At least one series must be selected for the chart to generate. If present in your data, optionally select different separator formats (commas, spaces, or periods) to ensure accurate axis calculations. Any formulas you have added in Excel will frozen on import and only the first Excel Worksheet is imported.

Pie and Donut data
When you select a Pie or Donut layout for your data, you only have a single "Label" and a single "Value" column/row. Labels represent the text descriptions of each slice displayed in the legend on the right or below the chart. Values are the numbers that determine the size of each slice.

CSV exports
Data exports are in CSV file format for maximum compatability with data driven applications.

Preserve your chart configurations by saving them as template files or load previously saved designs. Chart templates are stored in JSON format and capture all current settings, including dimensions, formatting preferences, and visual configurations.

Generate PNG, JPG or WebP images for quick sharing. Files default to white backgrounds, but you can enable transparency for PNGs and WebP files by selecting the Transparent backgrounds option in the Export options section. WebP is a great format to retain image clarity while keeping file sizes low on websites. PNG is best for applicationd like Word and Powerpoint, especially if you need to place images over solid colour backgrounds. Sizes vary depending on the width and height you select. If the chart size is left at 800 wide and 500 high, for example, the exported image would be 2520 pixels wide and 1860 pixels high.

Export your charts as SVG files to maintain pristine quality at any scale. SVGs are ideal for professional design workflows in programs like Adobe Illustrator, allowing individual element, text and colour changes for perfect brand alignment. Web-deployed SVGs remain crystal clear regardless of display size.

Create responsive, interactive charts for web integration with automatically generated embed code. Implementation varies by platform - for example, WordPress Elementor users should utilize the HTML widget. This feature leverages the Google Chart API for CSS and JavaScript rendering. Enable additional interactivity by selecting Add filtering and extra display types under Export options. Filtering and display type options can be enabled in Vertical layouts that have 3 or more series.

Generate self-contained HTML pages featuring your charts, viewable in any web browser. Enable enhanced functionality by selecting Add filtering and extra display types under Export options. The resulting responsive webpage uses the Google Chart API and can display your data in multiple formats (Bars, Dashed lines, Area, etc.) based on your selected display options. The control panel will show only your current view and chosen display types. Series and X-value filtering are included by default, with interactive elements available for charts containing more than two series. Filtering and display type dropdowns can be enabled in Vertical layouts with 3 or more series.
